Values

My practice is underpinned by a clear set of values. They include:

  • A belief in equality, recognising the equal worth of all people.
  • A commitment to challenging injustice, understanding the world to be an unequal place, which requires significant social change.
  • A commitment to collaboration, recognising the importance of working across sector, discipline, background and knowledge in emergent collective processes that thrive on complexity and difference and hold open the space of unknowing.
  • A belief in the potential of creative practice to explore, expose and respond to complex social themes and form part of a critical ecology of social and political life.
  • A commitment to exercising political imagination, recognising that the world is produced relationally and change is therefore possible, driven by those working collectively on generative processes, where alternative futures are publicly imagined.
